The UA Pelan 6 was opened on December 19, 1980. It was operated by United Artists and later Hollywood Theaters. It was closed by July 1999.

In June, 2006 it was purchased by the Beaumont Community Players and converted into a 2-auditorium live theatre named Betty Greenberg Center for Performing Arts.

The UA Phelan 6 was initially operated by United Artists, which is why there was a “UA” in the theater name of the UA Phelan 6. See in the photos section a storefront of the Phelan after it was closed during the Hollywood Theaters operating years. You will see that the “UA” letters had been removed from the theater name.
