This was the original YMCA auditorium. The new 1887 YMCA was built over the top of and incorporated this building. The new YMCA also had a larger auditorium. In 1908 the main theater became The Auditorium Theater and this Hall became the Hippodrome Theater and lasted until it was severly damaged in the great flood of 1913. It never re-opened.
