The terrazzo sidewalk that decorates both the pavement in the theater’s entryway and the actual city sidewalk not only spreads in front of the whole building, but continues around the corner for a small distance. The Albany’s terrazzo is one of the most elaborate to survive in the Bay Area, perhaps second only to that of the Fox Oakland, and rivals most of the theater terrazzos in the Los Angeles area.
