Located in the district of Kirkley/Pakefield to the south of Lowestoft, East Anglia. Kelly’s directory of 1937 lists a Pakefield Cinema, with Reg Potts of St. George’s Road, Kirkley as the proprietor. He was also the owner of a small engineering works. It was part of the engineering works which was converted into the Pakefield Cinema.
The Pakefield Cinema was opened on each Thursday & Friday when admission prices were 6d and 3d. It was said to have been “a rather spartan cinema” and it never made it into the entries of cinemas in the Kine Year Books. It had closed by 1939.
