Starlite Drive-In

Billboard reported on May 17, 1952 that the Starlite Drive-In in Estevan was one of the drive-ins opening for the season earlier than usual thanks to warm weather.

The 1955 Motion Picture Almanac listed the Starlite Drive-In in Estevan, capacity 200, owner Grem & Abbott.

Doug Gent’s Estevan history page said that the “Star-Lite” was owned by Dale Abbott and G. Giem, and that it closed around 1990. It was located “Just east of the train overpass between the train tracks, adjacent, to the west, and Highway 39 (Service Road) adjacent to the north, on the east end of the city”. Nothing remains of the drive-in there today.
