The Ritz Theatre was an African-American movie house that launched on October 11, 1946 with Thunder, the Wonder Horse starring in “Silver Stallion”. The Ritz Theatre was associated with the adjacent White House Center Store and was East of downtown. It drew audiences from both Clinton and nearby Warsaw. The Ritz Theatre was still open in 1955, but appears to have ceased operations after fulfilling a ten-year leasing arrangement.
