Located close to the junction of Myrtle Avenue and Auburn Boulevard northeast of the city. The Towne International Theatre was opened in 1966 and featured foreign and art films during the daytime. It was built by the Longtin brothers as a follow-up to their Guild Theatre. It later screened adult porn movies on weekdays and art films at midnight on weekends. “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” was a popular midnight weekend attraction. It was closed in July 1986.
The building today is a welding workshop.
