Opening date for the Bijou Theatre is not known, but it closed in 1955. It was taken over by the Royal Bank of Canada. In 2002 it was in use as a Native Learning Centre. They moved out in 2012 and the building became vacant. In 2015 it reopened as Bijou Bobs steak house, which also featured live music. By 2020 it operates as Bobs Burger Bar.
