In 1902, this space was vacant. The Electric Theatre was operating by March 21, 1908 when Will McVey was the manager. The 1909 Sanborn shows a ‘5ยข Theatre’ operating in the southern storefront of a two story brick commercial building. This had been constructed between 1885 and 1890, and contained three storefronts, with the southern pair divided by a staircase. The theatre location was just north of a narrow alley which ran just behind the back of the buildings facing Jefferson Street. This is roughly where the back wall of the present Diana Theatre building is today.
The theatre did not operate for long and had closed by 1914, with the 1915 map showing a restaurant in the space. This block has been nearly completely destroyed to create a wasteland of surface parking.
