There is a lanai on the back of the the building that overlooks the coffee plantations and you can sip your favorite coffe while looking out over the plantation and the mountain landscape. Very beautiful. Still had the wooden floors.
The Kona Theatre was built and opened in 1929 by Tamajiro Marumoto, he also had a General Store next to the theatre. His son Masaji became the first judge of Japanese ancestry to sit on the Hawaii Supreme Court.
