Barn Theatre

The Island Beach Indoor Theatre was located next to the Causeway Drive-In and was opened on October 19, 1957 with Burt Lancaster in “Sweet Smell of Success”. It reopened as the Barn Theatre on December 23, 1962 with William Holden in “The Lion” when it was operated by Kent Theatres Inc. It was twinned on June 16, 1978, and was closed in 1980.

The Island Beach Indoor theatre first opened on October 10th, 1957, and then reopened as the Barn theatre on December 23rd, 1962. It closed in 1980 after reopening as a twin on June 16th, 1978. Advertisements for the grand opening have been posted in the photo section.
