Ad in 8-20-42 issue of The Groom News. News reports the following week say that Goff’s Theatre opened in on 8/21/42. The 8/20 date on this ad is confusing. Was “Spooks Run Wild” not shown? An ad with several local businesses congratulating the theatre in the same 8/20 paper says opening Friday.
