Kazan’s first Kinomax theater is the Kinomax Kazan, located inside the Tandem Shopping Center, and opened its doors in September 2006.

It featured eight screens and a VIP auditorium (which counts as a ninth screen), and a total capacity of 1,307 seats.

Kinomax would later open its second Kazan movie house east of the city at the Yuzhnyy Mall in August 2011.
