The six-screen GV Jurong Point, then known as GV Boon Lay, opened on 7th December 1995 as Golden Village’s first location in western Singapore with the then latest James Bond flick, “Goldeneye”.
Anticipating competition from newer cinemas opening in nearby Jurong East, the cinema underwent a 3 month renovation in early-2012 and reopened on 1st May that year with the premiere of Marvel’s “The Avengers”.
