Photograph of the main foyer taken at opening. Being very bland and unworthy of the name Palace the finishing is dreadful. Entrance from the two outer pay box foyer is on the right side with the entrance lobbies to the auditorium either end. The 66ft length is devoid of any decorative scheme from interior decorators Clark & Fenn or the presence of Prides lighting features, even an entrance carpet is laid on top of the Gaumont Insignature fitted carpet, instead of an enclosed carpet well. If you compare the previous Artists impression there is no resemblance to the luxury proposed in his drawing.
