The $7 million Wynnewood Shopping Village was approved in 1949. From its inception a Robb & Rowley corner theater in the initial plans by Pettigrew and Worley. Unlike many suburbans of the period, the Wynnewood as drawn here in 1949 was budgeted at north of $250,000 and had 400 targeted spots of the 2,000 available in the center.
