There was an Arverne theatre listed in some old theatre ads. Would this have been the Boardwalk at some point in time?

I did a map search on the address you gave Warren and 66-18 Boardwalk is located between Beach 66th and Beach 67th st. It appears that this theater was located right before the boardwalk.

It didn’t specify, but it stands to reason that the outdoor was atop the indoor theatre.

Does it specify if it was two seperate buildings or as I have read somewhere that it was one building with the outdoor theater actually being located on the roof.

A 1945 directory of Greater New York movie theatres gives the address as 66-18 Boardwalk. It was actually two theatres, an indoor one with 585 seats and an outdoor one with 800 seats.

The address above was the one given by Cinema Tours. If you have a different address for this theater please post it.
