The Washington Drive-In owned by Redstone Theatres, opened on June 27th, 1956. The movie that played there on opening day was called “The Desperate Hours” with Humphrey Bogart and Fredric March.
1975ish Aaron Engle + i ditched our 20" sting-rays along side the tall wooden fence, made the climb which wasn’t so bad – it’s the landing and sprint to the front playground that was a fright, back then we had Good Sameritans! We’ve seen TOMMY the Pinball Wizard, the Man Called Horse; just a few, pop-corn and all! We’d ride in from Fpt. grin
