Built as a single-screen in the mid-1960s and later divided in half. It was of the era when Loews was decorating with the turquoise and purple color scheme, black-and-white graphic on the lobby wall and script-style ‘Loews’ on the signs.
Closed in October 1991, the building currently houses retail.

Somewhere in the mid-80s it quietly closed and was turned into retail. I believe a Gap is now in the space (it’s within the mall proper). Mankind suffered no real loss.
A stand-alone, deco-marqueed Regal multiplex was built on the edge of the mall property a decade or so ago, and another multi-screen (4 or 5) complex also remains in a strip plaza facing the mall
BTW, it’s actually in Niles, Ohio, which is a few miles from Youngstown and Warren, Ohio.
The Eastwood Mall is located at 5555 Youngstown Warren Rd, Niles, Ohio.

Thanks For the ad.
I know this theater made it until Summer 1989 as I saw “Ghostbusters II” there as a young lad. I think it closed just as the Boulevard Centre was opening in the early 1990’s.
After looking through the Youngstown Vindicator archives, the cinema’s last day of operation was October 24th, 1991 . The last film that played there were Ricochet and The Super.
