New movie theater coming to Bonita Springs
BONITA SPRINGS, FL — The plaza at Chamber of Commerce Drive has been a troublesome spot for movie theaters the past decade. However, a new owner is taking over the former Prado Cinema Cade with plans to add comfy chairs along with a full menu with alcohol.

New cinema, facelift coming to Apple Blossom Mall
WINCHESTER, VA — A new Carmike Cinemas theater is going to be the centerpiece of the renovated Apple Blossom Mall. The 12 screen theatre will feature Carmike’s BIGD auditorium with 7.1 surround sound.

ArcLight announces expansion to Bethesda
BETHESDA, MD — The Southern California luxury chain, ArcLight, is building its first theatre on the east coast. Of course they will feature the standard ArcLight amenities of reserved seating and no ads.

STAUNTON, VA — The Staunton Mall Cinema has been on shaky ground lately as the theatre’s new independent owners are struggling to keep the place running. They’ve yet to make the jump to digital and the declining mall’s owners haven’t made it any easier.

CARMI, IL — The City Council has matched funds with locals Michael and Tambria Fox to take over the Showtime Cinemas. They plan to renovate the theatre and increase its operating hours.
