Was the Star Theatre affected by the bombing of Darwin in 1942 and 1943 in World War 2? Did the Star Thetre have to close down during World War 2(because it was outdoors)?
The Monitor Drive-in may have been demolished except for the ramps and entrance and exit roads and two(maybe three?) double sided light poles(judging by the Streetview photo? The site is now used for a sale(swap meet?)?

This theatre was seen in an episode of Baywatch Nights(season 2 – episode 12, Possessed).
The train line from Port Hedland(about 110km away to the west of Goldworthy) passed behind the Goldsworthy Gardens and Drive-in.
Goldsworthy Gardens and Drive-in was located on the north side of De Grey Drive(near the Goldsworthy Mining Office).
This was on the Hay Streetlevel of what was then called City Arcade.
This site(on the ground floor) also includes Mecca Cosmetica(cosmetics store?) and West Elm(furniture and home decorstore).
