I think the first big Multi-plex started it all.I could live with four screens, but 30 or more. You gotta hired cops to do the ushers job.I will say it again glad I got out in 1983.
I too found it hard to believe having worked in the theatre business for years we made sure the restrooms were as clean as possible, because guess what managers USE them.In my days we never cleaned up after the shows.I don’t think anyone did so if you came to 9:20 show chances are the floors will have spilt coke, but no seat about fall off.
“ Theatres as small as Classrooms” Why would any theatre chain ever have a theatre that small.Usually, when all this multi-plexing went crazy in the 70’s,most theatre chains had decent qauds, like MASTERS 4 in Augusta,Even the two smaller theatres were big enough to enjoy any movie, except maybe, 2001.
I admit I am no “STAR WARS” fan,but i did watch this thing years ago with the kids and all the computer generated stuff it makes you sick.
