The second screen is not in the same location, though. It is a couple of blocks away and should probably be considered a separate theatre. The second screen is known as Film Haven while this original screen will be called the Movie Loft.
I visited Bridgton this week and was able to place the theatre location by locating the two building still standing from the postcard pictured above. Where it appears there theatre would have been stands a building that is much newer than the rest of the downtown buildings. The theatre thusly is demolished. The address would’ve been 154 or 156 Main St.
Dave, I must’ve just missed you! I was up in Berkshire County on Saturday August 4 photographing theatres. What day were you up there? I got pics of this one and two others in Adams as well as many others around the region.
Did you stop at the old Summer Street Theatre in Adams?
Here’s the article that mentions that it was used for movies – http://articles.courant.com/2003-04-11/news/0304112293_1_polish-hall-home-basketball-north-street
Not sure why this is listed as demolished. The building is still there.
However, which building? 177 Main Street is a small building, but certainly could have housed a storefront theatre. The tall building that the first comment on this page refers to is the one next door at 183 Main Street.
The Full Moon Drive-In http://www.fullmoondrivein.com/ is the new one in San Diego. It opens tonight. It shows a different classic movie every Friday and Saturday evening.
You see one of these articles about the “revival” of drive-ins every few years. The premise of this one seems to be faulty, though. Right in this article it states that there are 364 drive-ins across the USA today, down from 406 drive-ins in 2007.
Well, that means 10% of the drive-ins that existed just five years ago have now closed down. That’s not a revival – that’s a bloodbath.
Actually, the theatre proposal is competing with the ice rink proposal. The theatre is part of the marketplace proposal.
Well, larry, the marquee is now gone!
The entrance to Norbury Hall is now around the back from where the cab company is. Live performances are held there occasionally.
By the way, the address for the second screen is 11 Pleasant Street.

54 Boundary Line Road maps to the correct address. From a Google aerial view you can still see the ramps in the field.
It appears athletic fields have been built over this drive-in.

The VFW Post there was built in 1906 and is listed as 904 Bank Street. Could this be the old Family Theatre building?
Hmm, if only I’d looked at my own research. The old Airdome apparently was demolished in 2004 and a new building erected on the site shortly after.
An Airdome would have been outside, I believe. I think this one is demolished.
This is in Groton, not New London. See photos at http://www.cinematour.com/tour/us/25098.html

Was just here today and 39 Bank St is a parking lot so it appears this theatre has long since been demolished.
Heirloom Arts Theatre website is http://heirloomarts.org/
Sadly, it is still sitting there all boarded up.
Reopened as CineGrill at Prado on July 6.
Not demolished. Is now open as Studio Movie Grill.

Strand is closed too. It appears to have closed this year from comments on TripAdvisor.

Yes, it is closed. See the mentions here:

I do not think Airdrome is an obvious typo or, in fact, a typo at all. Airdrome was a common name for early outdoor theatres.
