Was located on US-191 latitude & Longitude of house that is now located to the back of the property is on Google maps is 48.347388, -107.877974. Closes Address is for the National Guard Headquarters next door 1008 US-191. Shows up 1967 Aerial and 1971 and 1981(?) Aerials. the 1971 Aerial has Drive-In Theater printed twice right on the sight and across the road (which looks to be a misprint). The 1981 Aerial has Drive-In Theater printed across the road from location.
This drive in theater wad located right off exit 502 to the right some of it was swallowed by exit 502 and the rest was taken over by Corey and sons farms sweet potatoes.
According to driveinmovie.com car capacity is 150 that’s a relatively small Drive-In unless you compare it to the original Amenia Drive-In which was 46 which is more than 3 times larger. The size difference makes it seem enormous.
Check out this Wikipedia page about this theater. The Garden Theatre has been erroneously referred to as the Madison Square Garden Theatre. It was not related to a theatre on New York’s Madison Ave. and 24th St. that was called the Madison Square Theatre from 1879 to 1891 and later called Hoyt’s Theatre. The Garden Theatre was architecturally and structurally part of, but managed separately from, the Madison Square Garden (1890) complex designed by Stanford White of McKim, Mead & White, that replaced the original Madison Square Garden (1879) at the same site. Unlike most theatres of the day, patrons entered from street level and it was described as “fireproof”,[2] in an era when theatre fires were not uncommon. The auditorium had eight boxes, a gallery and a balcony, with 1,200 seats plus room for 400 standees. The building was 117 feet long and 70 feet wide, and the stage was 39 feet deep and 70 feet wide.[3]
http://www.driveinmovie.com/ia/blue-grass/blue-grass-drive-in-theater/ list the capacity of the Blue Grass at 400 cars when it was a 2 screen. With that in mind considering the circular layout that shows in the aerial view on Google maps and all the parking fields are the same the capacity at a guess would be around 800 cars at 4 screens.
This Drive in theater is an interesting set up as it actually has four screens, which are all in the center of the property creating a 360 Deg circle, the concession stand is in the center of the screens and each screen has its own projection booth in the middle of each parking field. Also features a miniature golf course.
Change the Address above to 1821 US-17 Merry Hill, NC 27957.
Comparing this address with historicaerials.com this is the exact location. Not sure how long this Drive-In was in operation it appears on the 1954 aerial but no other.
At a guess this is a number between 2284-2307 Main St Louisville, AL 36048, Since the next house going out of town is 2309, and two houses before it is 2283. The next house in the other direction does not have a number.
Exact address on Google maps is 409 AL-10 Abbeville, AL 36310. From the satellite photo it looks like there is a swimming pool and you can make out where the ramps used to be in the pattern of the trees. Please correct address Thank you.
This Drive in theater took up the property between dump road and up to and including what is now a business called Thomas signs. Lat and Long of 34.710521, -85.972520 puts a pin in about the center of it on google maps. Their is a 1981 Aerial on historicaerials.com
The actual address for this is 22520 US-331, Laurel Hill, FL 32567 Which is now a Tom Thumb Gas station. Comparing it with the historical aerials the Gas station looks like it was built in the front of the lot. There may still be ramp remnants back in those trees.
22520 US-331, Laurel Hill, FL 32567 The Tom Thumb Gas station is the correct address for the Starlite D-I. The Gas station looks like it was built in the front of the lot. There may still be ramps back in those trees.
The frontage of the theater on market st still survives to this day, the theater building in the back has been torn down. I will post some pictures as soon as I can.
The address should be changed to 5427 US-13 because Google maps pins it right in front of where the theater is or was. This also needs to be changed to closed since it’s no longer a theater.
Right behind Prague Wrecker service the ramps are still visible on Google maps at the above address.

Love the Chevron Ramps
You can still make out the ramps on Google Maps on the southern screen, a AMC Hardtop has been built over the ramps from the northern screen.

This is an odd one this maps better as 1940 US-8 Demopolis, AL 36732 on Google maps.
When I put the above address in it maps to 1940 US-80 Jackson, MS 39204.
Please change above address it looks like this highway may have 2 numbers or Google maps is just messed up. It wouldn’t be the first time.
