According to Fowler, a movie theater was located at the northeast corner of Kaufman and San Jacinto streets in downtown Rockwall for almost 40 years. The theater, named the Ritz, ran serials and first-run movies.

The ABC Cinema opened on May 20th, 1970 with “Barquero”. Its grand opening ad has been posted. In the mid-1980’s it became Cinema 5 as it is taken over by Cineplex Odeon and later Carmike Cinemas, who closed it in 2000. Reopened as Movie Tavern in 2005.

Also built way close to the Famous Players cinema, which reminds me of the 52 screens in Ontario, California, which are next to each other.

This opened as the “The New Show” on March 21st, 1917, and reopened as “America” on April 16th, 1917. Two grand opening ads posted.
The first ad for the Feature Theatre appeared on October 20th, 1915. It could have been opened before.
This was on East Louisiana Street per this ad.
