A better address for this on Google maps is:1371 US-281, Hamilton, TX 76531. It maps right to the business that the concession stand can be seen behind. The address above doesn’t even map to an address on US-281 even though the Motel down the road is 1447 US-281.
I don’t see what you see at that location. I see a lot of wavy lines that look a lot like drive-in theater ramps but they’re all over the place must be some type of crop or its wind blown sand or dirt. Makes it hard to locate a drive-in theater.
Looks like the Drive in theater was right across the road from 107 you can still see a faint hint of the ramps. Latitude & Longitude on Google maps are 42.839050, -71.108501.
The land is still vacant you would think the way they quickly demolished it after the owners death there would have been something new going up on the land. What a shame.
The topo map makes it look like it was on the corner of the two roads because it looks like that pie shaped lot has a concession/projection building and a screen. Might not be but that’s what it looks like. Of course I don’t see a ticket booth.
New Pictures uploaded.
From the Obituary of Donald Hallenbeck:
he opened the Indian Ladder Drive-In Theater in Voorheesville and in 1958 the Chief Drive-In in Canajoharie.
The year is off on this because other records show it open in the early 1950’s

Approx Latitude & longitude for the Amity Hall Inn are 40.427553, -77.008960
A better address is 2835 U.S. 181, Karnes City, TX. It puts the pointer right on the spot in Google Maps.
This Drive-In actually maps on Google to 3067 Old Highway 27, Trion,GA 30753. This address puts the pointer right on the exact location.
The land is still vacant you would think the way they quickly demolished it after the owners death there would have been something new going up on the land. What a shame.
Also that would be a weird placement of the screen in relation to the road.

This Drive-In Theater is probably one of the nicest I’ve seen
The Marquee picture at web address below.
https://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/09/36/7a/43/stars-and-stripes-drive.jpg
The marquee has a spot for a 4th screen must be a future project.
Satellite view looks as if it was graded for a 4th screen. Looks as though there is remnants of ramps in the fourth field.
When Mapped on Google maps it maps to the back of the building. This is why I think the main part of the theater was torn down.
The front of this building is still there as attested to in the following

The correct address is:
120 W King St, Hillsborough, NC 27278
Was the Yucca a Twin 2001 Lubbock Hwy including the next lot has that basic drive-in theater shape. It very close.
@dansdriveintheater the lot next door has the drive in shape also. If it was a drive-in theater it may have been a twin.
