Interesting. Speaking of competition: CityWalk Orlando is a Cinemark but CityWalk Los Angeles/Hollywood is AMC! Disney Springs is AMC but the largest multiplex down the street from Disneland in Anaheim/Orange is Century Cinemark! FYI.
The photo above is incorrect. That is the Stadium D/I next door to Todd’s TV Repair. This drive in was further west now the shopping center that contains Ross. The Stadium is now Lucky’s Supermarket. FYI. If I can recall, the Oakland was larger and stretched back to Bay Fair Shopping Center (now mall)
Correction: Thanks to several hurricanes, the growing vagrant population, vandalism, the ever expanding flea market and the aforementioned fire in April 2022,
THIS DRIVE-IN NOW HAS 8 SCREENS!
Along with the somewhat famous Peter Pan Woodland Lodge next door (the drive-in was named after the lodge), both now part of the eastern extension of Big Bear Airport.
The address for this drive-in was 675 Greenway Drive, Big Bear, CA 92314. Please update.
The actual address for this drive-in was 39515 Big Bear Boulevard Big Bear Lake, CA 92315. Believe it or not, after more than 40 years most ramps are still visible!
FYI The building east of this location (also medical offices) was the additional 4 screens…BUT Harkins beat SoCal to it! Besides Chino Avenue isn’t as congested as Grand Avenue so there you have it folks!
1) Regal Green Valley is now Regal Green Valley Ranch 10 per Regal website.
2) Per Galaxy website: 10 screens (not 8), 2 screens have DFX large screen format, the shopping center is now Green Valley Town Center on Sunset Rd. East of AMC Town Square 18 w/IMAX & west of Regal Sunset Station 13 w/IMAX. FYI.
Closed in 1998 a year after the Union City D/I 6 closed. Worked one the box offices (Poltergeist was playing had to turn away many cars! 😇😇)in 1982. FYI.
To end confusion, Prescott had 3 (!) screens, McHenry had 2 though larger. The Prescott could be seen from hwy 99. The McHenry was behind the Briggsmore Theatre (originally White Front store). The Briggsmore indoor theater also had 3 screens (ultimately 7!).
This is where the confusion lies. All 3 locations were near Briggsmore Road! Check Historical Aerials from 1982 for details…😍😍😍 I’ve done the research so you won’t have to! 🤣
Correction: UA sunrise 4 was on Sunrise Blvd. Citrus Heights Drive-In (NOT SUNRISE DRIVE-IN!) was on Auburn Blvd. near Hwy 80/Eisenhower Frwy… Let’s be clear about this. UA Greenback 6 (also closed) and Century Greenback Lane 16 (now open) were closer. This location was across from the now closed Birdcage Walk and closer to the Orangevale Drive-In…To clear up any confusion. 🤣🤣😍
Now known as Regal Edwards Canyon Country 10 in Santa Clarita. Also it is in the Soledad Canyon Shopping Center. Please update. This location has been a Regal theater for 18 years! 😫😫
Originally a twin in 1960 like the Santa Barbara in Goleta. Additional screens were added: 4 by 1968, 6 by 1980 per Historical Aerials. Same marquee as the Century Domes 21, 22, 23 (RIP) on Winchester near Stevens Creek Blvd. Same domed snack bar as Burlingame, Capitol, Coliseum, Sacramento, Santa Barbara, South Bay Carson, Stadium Orange, Vallejo and mini snack bar at Union City (I worked that one myself in ‘85! MEMORIES! 😩).
See AMC Covina 30/17 for more details…

1st Street (Hwy 152) was originally Hecker Pass Rd. It still is further west towards Watsonville by Gileoy Gardens (Gilroy Garlic Festival). FYI.
Correction: Now CMX Miami Lakes 13! 11 to 17 to 13? CMX is very schizo about this! Look for future screen changes at Dolphin Mall as well…
Please update.

Which Westwood Fox would that be? The Bruin or Ths Village both on Broxton? Just curious…🤣🤣😁
Correction here and elsewhere on this website:
ONTARIO MILLS IS AMC ENTERTAINMENT NOT REPEAT NOT REGAL ENTERTAINMENT GROUP!
That is Ontario Palace.
I cannot emphasize this enough. Several entries state this as fact andis inaccurate. Please update.
Nope sorry! NO IMAX! Just RPX and Screen X…Please update.
Now Northeast Methodist Hospital @ 12412 Judson Rd, San Antonio, TX 78233. Please update.
