New website is https://www.frontierdriveinn.com/ Now called “Frontier Drive-Inn” it has a mix of yurts and shed rooms that can be stayed overnight in, films can be watched from these rooms as well.
There was a small drive-in located at the present address of 498 Courthouse Rd, Princeton, WV 24739 which is close to Bluefield, it appears in aerial photos from 1955 until 1961. A ford dealership now occupies the site, I wonder if this could be the actual location?
Most of the photos on this listing are from the Sunset which doesn’t appear to have its own listing here. The Sunset became the RV Park where the screen remained until it fell down in 2018, the Elk is now a bike park as mentioned above.
George Larson appears to have obtained ownership in 1953, the January 24, 1953 issue of Box Office reported this and also mentioned it had 200 seats for walk-ins. So this place actually had more indoor seats than car space.
1980 aerial photo added, the concession building was demolished sometime after 1990.

Amazingly, the roadside marquee actually appears to remain.

ha, it is a church, the “CMC” on the building stands for “Crossroads Multipurpose Center”.
Original name was apparently spelt “Vallee”.
Opened in August 1952.
Also this closed in the 1960’s not the 1980’s.

MichaelKilgore, the below page lists an “Enderby Drive-In Theatre” that operated for only one season in 1953. So maybe that was the original?

This was actually located further down Pemberton Ave with a current address of 221 Lloyd Ave, North Vancouver. The site is now a bus depot.
Approximate address is currently Cottonwood Crescent, Welland.
Opened in 1954.
Approximate opening date was June 26th, 1950. It was located on Broadway St East.
Apparently opened in July 1953.

The original owner was Arthur Vaudner, the drive-in was open as early as 1955.
The opening film was “Luxury Liner” along with the Stooges short “G.I. Wanna Home”.
Now a housing estate appropriately called “Cinema Park”.
Closed in late 1972/early 1973.
I guess an “adult” for ticket purposes was over 12. I highly doubt they would let “unaccompanied” children even enter the site.
Possibly closed with “Striking Distance” and “Mo' Money”.
