- Oct 29, 2009 — Little Art Theater in Yellow Springs goes non-profit
The Little Theatre was opened prior to 1943, when it had 290 seats. It was renamed Little Art Theatre in June 1955. It shows films not seen at the multiplexes. In 2008, the exterior of the theatre was repainted and now looks rather smart. In October 2009, it became a non-profit operation.
In late-2013, the Little Art Theatre completed a major renovation and upgrade to digital projection. All new seating (reduced to 106) has been installed, the rake in the floor improved and with a new concession area, the theatre is now ADA compliant.

The Little Art actually has 180 seats. The architectural style includes some slight art deco detailing inside. To go from the lobby to the booth, you must go outside.
