Friendly Drive-In

The Friendly Drive-In opened on Ann Blyth in 1950. It was located on Preston Road about one mile north of U.S. Route 58. This 300 car drive-in closed at the end of the 1957 season.

The Friendly Drive-In Theatre opened on June 22, 1950 with “Red Canyon.” It went widescreen in 1957 and did not advertise after that season. The lot is auctioned in 1970 likely at the end of its 20-year lease and is sold for other purposes.

Looks like the Friendly closed after the December 8, 1957 showings of “Phantom Of The Trails” and “Jail Busters” plus an unnamed cartoon.
