The Cascade actually closed August 31, 1987.
The site remained vacant for several years until it was torn down for a retail complex with Target and Costco in 2007.
Original 1969 marquee photo and copy added courtesy of Father Dennis Morrow.
“A Redstone theater, this drive-in eventually had two screens: Cascade Red and Cascade Blue. For many years, even after the theater itself closed, it was the site of the Woodland Drive-In Church.”

I noticed that there is currently no post for Showcase Cinemas, the multiplex that was on the site following the drive-in. Does anyone have any thoughts if that should be a separate post or connected to this page? Showcase was my childhood theater, and I was quite sad to see it razed and turned into Costco in ‘03. Last movie I saw there was Die Another Day. They also had T2: The Arcade Game there which was my favorite. Anyone have any other memories of Showcase? Pictures would be great!
Redstone theatres opened the Cascade Twin Drive-In on May 9th, 1969. Grand opening ad posted.
