Opened as the Pleasant Hour Theater in 1914 with seating listed at 640, became the Sheldon theater in 1926. It received a new name again in 1932 , this time it was named the Hollywood. The theater remained open until 1953 when it closed. It has since been demolished.

This is from Boxoffice magazine in March 1949:

INDIANAPOLIS-Oscar Kueschner sold his Hollywood Theater here to Thomas Hatfield of this city. Hatfield formerly was general manager of the Hatfield Electric Co. here.
