The mall site is now New Roc City, where Regal has an 18-plex plus an IMAX theatre.
The New Rochelle mall was cool, if you were from New Rochelle. I saw the 1st Halloween movie there as well as superman and a few others; it was a large theater and was keep nicely, lots of competition from the main street theaters kept them somewhat upscale, the New Rochelle crowd made the place lively and fun. Great memories
Here’s a not-so-great scan from a newspaper clipping.

The Century Mall Theatre was opened on June 26, 1968. It had 1204 seats, according to the announcement of its opening published in Boxoffice Magazine on July 22 that year.
The Century Mall Theatre, and the Mall, did not fare well because of the poor layout of the mall. The entire Mall probably had a good 15 year run until larger grandiose malls started appearing in Westchester County.
Uploaded a photo of the entrance.

I was the relief assistant manager there in 1976. We played The Gauntlet starring Clint Eastwood and Sandra Locke during Christmas. The RKO down the way was playing the remake of King Kong. I believe Mrs. F. was the manager and there was a Beth and a Billy on staff. Great times!
