The Parkway Drive-In, located in West Deptford near Thorofare, NJ, was opened June 14, 1957 with Burt Lancaster in “The Rainmaker” & Alan Ladd in “The Big Land”. It ran feature movies in the 1950’s and 1960’s. When the theatre fell on hard times, it resorted to showing adult movies in the late-1970’s. The Parkway Drive-In was closed on October 19, 1980 with “Cheerleaders Wild Weekend”. It was abandoned.
Later, the contents of the lot and buildings was sold off and the screen was torn down. All that remains of the Parkway Drive-In is the four huge concrete blocks that anchored the screen, the fence posts from the original gates, and the empty lot.

Here is a 1963 aerial photo. If you need a landmark, try Bergey’s Truck Tires at 1699 Crown Point Road in West Deptford. On the map view the large piece of vacant land to the left is the drive-in.
