The Wood Theatre was opened on December 7, 1939 with Madeleine Carroll in “Honeymoon in Bali”. It was closed on October 30, 1973 with Tom Laughlin in “Billy Jack”.

In the 1963 motion picture almanac, the operator of the Wood was Atlantic Theaters, Inc, based in Philadelphia. This company also owned the Laurel in Bridgeton and the Broad and Grove theaters in Penns Grove.
From the 1950s a photo postcard view of Broad Street along with the Wood Theatre in Woodbury.
Opened December 7th, 1939 and closed in 1973.
