Cool old theater offers moviegoers something different than multiplex chain theaters. It opened as a twin theatre in Spring of 1979. A third screen was added in late-2010 soon followed by a fourth screen. It was closed on August 21, 2012.

The Summit Plaza has recently expanded to 3 screens, adding a “movie lounge” that seats 60 with comfortable couches and a wall to wall screen. Saw a movie there this weekend, and it is excellent environment. They seem to be showing more “offbeat” movies there that never make it to nearby Jefferson City, so I hope they are successful with it.
The Summit Plaza has now added a second “movie lounge”, bringing it to a toal of 4 screens.
This closed in 2012, all showtimes are offline.
