The Capitol Theatre was operating since the 1920’s, and was listed in the 1941 edition of Film Daily Yearbook with a seating capacity for 710 (same in the 1943 edition). By the 1950 edition of F.D.Y. the seating capacity was listed as 799.
The Capitol Theatre was demolished in 1998.

According to the Milford/Orange City Directory, 1924 lists the Capitol on 8 Daniel Street. 1939 it’s on 26 Daniel and it appears on all directories until the last one on their file in 1991.
The Capitol Theatre seated 710 people.

John and Drew Eberson worked on this theatre around 1941 but whether they built it or modernised it I am not sure.
The ticket booth is now at the Milford arts council lobby at the train station
