If you Google, a snippet of an article appears (you have to pay beyond that) from the NY Times, dated August 31, 1984 that says it was one-year-old at that point.

It was one of a “growing number of movie houses in Connecticut that combines film showings with snacks and drinks…”

There is no 201 Cherry Street. I was there the other day – 199 is a Blockbuster and to the left is a Wachovia and in between is a grassy area and a curb with a new shopping center in the back.

The Milford Pub & Cinema was in the shopping center. It was right in the corner where the two wings form an L.

I was leafing through the Milford/Orange City Directory the other day. The article above was from 1984, but the cinema isn’t in the directory until 1991 and only that year. Hmmmm.

Well, the info I was given was wrong. There is no L anywhere as the buildings are not attached. However, there is a 201 in the shopping center which now houses two storefronts. This must be where the cinema was.

I went there a lot in the early 80’s. It was way over to the far left, not connected to the other stores. I think it was an oil change/garage in the 60’s/‘70’s. Saw “Wrath of Khan” there, among others.
