The Blanding Drive-In was part of the Kent Theatres Inc. chain and they opened it on August 21, 1963 with Luke Halpin in “Flipper”. It was later operated by Martin Theatres. After demolition, a building was constructed on the site which housed Vystar Credit Union. By 2022 it was in use by Auto Zone.

Yes, was a Kent, had a capacity for 800 cars.
Went to the Blanding many times as a youngster. Many fond memories. Even in the mid 70’s they were playing films like “The Blob” as second feature. I also remember alot of “Hot Car” pictures playing as they were very popular, “Gone in 60 seconds”, “Vanishing Point” “Dirty Mary , Crazy Larry”.
Now Auto Zone. Pleade update.
