The Leon Theatre was was opened in 1938. It was listed as a ‘Negro’ theatre in the 1945 and 1951 editions of the Film Daily Yearbook, operated by the Bailey Theaters chain. On March 14, 1968 it was renamed Campus Art Theatre, screening art and international movies.
On April 17, 1980 it began screening X-Rated movies, known as Randy’s Campus Theatre. The final program in February 1985 was “Tangerine” and Puss ‘n’ Boots".

THIS is the one I mentioned several years ago in a comment on another Tal.theater.I stopped while riding my bike across town to look at the weird cars at the Fiat dealer nxt door.
The Leon Theatre went through several ownerships beginning in the 1960s, and ran soft core porn. At one time, it was named “Randy’s Campus Theatre.” It probably closed in the 1990s; I’m not sure what the use of the building is now.
I believe 525 is now occupied by a relatively new FSU parking garage.
The address needs to be changed to 528 W. Tennessee. Here is a PDF document that has a picture of the Leon in its later years on page ten.
