Bijou Art Cinemas

The Bijou Arts Cinema opened October 17, 1980 in a converted California Mission style church which was built in 1925. Screen 1 has 104-seats and screen 2 has 95-seats. It was closed on August 3, 2021 following a downturn due to the Covid pandemic and issues with the owner of the building.

This weblog post says that the former church the Bijou occupies was built in 1925 and was designed by architect W. R. B. Willcox (misspelled as Wilcox in the text.) Willcox was the first Dean of the University of Oregon School of Architecture.
