Nearby Theaters
Located in the Red Bank section to the north of Chattanooga. The Red Bank Drive-In was opened on May 18, 1950 with Bill Williams in “Blue Grass of Kentucky”. It was operated by Abe Solomon of Independent Theatres.
It was closed in 1980 and demolished in the 1980’s. A dollar store is now on the site.

There is a old Food Lion shopping center there now. I wish I had a photo of the old drive-in. I remember going to see True Grit when I was little. Well I saw the cartoons and some of the movie! :) It was torn down in the 1980’s.
After getting my drivers license around 1958, I was a frequent visitor to the Red Bank Drive-In. My wife and I had our first date there on Feb 12, 1960. We will celebrate our 53rd anniversary in Dec. Lots of special memories for us.
The Red Bank Drive-In Opened On May 18, 1950 With Performances By The Local Area “Rainbow Girls” And The Film “Blue Grass Of Kentucky” Starring Bill Williams With Fireworks Prior To The Grand Opening Program.
