This theater opened as part of the multi-level Kaleidoscope outdoor shopping mall on August 28, 1998. It is located across the street from The Shops at Mission Viejo (formerly the Mission Viejo Mall), which is adjacent to the former Edwards Cinema that was converted to a church in the 1990’s.

This opened on August 28th, 1998. Its grand opening ad can be found in the photo section.
One of two Regal locations in south Orange County that has recliners included standard in every auditorium, the other being Irvine UTC. The UTC location is more modern and in a livelier shopping center but the Kaleidoscope location has more auditoriums, stadium seating, and an actual reasonable parking setup. Generally, Kaleidoscope is a good place to see a movie.
