The Warner Village Star City opened on 20th July 2000. It was re-branded Vue in 2004. Located at Star City entertainment and leisure complex in the Nechells district of Birmingham. It was designed by American architect Jon Jerde in conjunction with UK architectural firm Geoffrey Reid Associates. With its 5,731 total seating capacity, plus an additional 83 wheelchair spaces spread through its 30 auditoriums, it’s the largest megaplex cinema in the United Kingdom…(to date).
Seating capacities in the screens range from 559, down to 107. It has 3 ‘Gold Class’ screens which have seating capacities of 33, 52 and 52 in which there are luxury seating, bar facilities, free popcorn and admission is for 18+ only. Currently 6 of the regular screens are ‘mothballed’.

Cinema unfortunately in the news when a gang armed with machetes caused a fight and terrified families witnessed armed police arriving to close the cinema and deal with the situation on 23rd November, 2019
More than a gang, it was a mob of 100 fighting.
