Dixie Theatre

Operated as the Wadsworth Theatre from Spring of 1929 until the late-1940’s. It became the Dixie Theatre in early-1946 and closed on July 8, 1999 with Kevin Kline in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.

Last known as the Main Street Theatre & Ballroom by 2005, the auditorium was in use as a warehouse for storage (not a theatre) and the basement a ballroom.

The Dixie Theatre closed as a movie theater on July 8, 1999 with “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. It originally closed for repairs, but never reopened after.
