The November 8th, 1951 grand opening ad as Playhouse can be found in the photo section for this theatre.
On the map view it looks like this was the Showtime Theater before it closed. There is a for sale sign on the door. This would have been around 2007 or so.

The art house was taken over by local businessman Bob Weinholt in spring 1984; but it didn’t catch on. Wienholt closed the Playhouse in February 1985. The theatre reopened very briefly in spring 1985 to show the indie film “Two for the Money.”
