The Maplecroft Drive-In was opened June 9, 1948 with Jon Hall in “The Vigilantes Return”. It was operated by C.F. Morrison & Paul and H. Little. Adult films were shown at the Maplecroft Drive-In in its later years. Capacity was 238 cars.

Approx. address for this drive-in was 1508 U.S. 40.
The Maplecroft’s gallery page at Drive-ins.com has aerial views, a few ads, and pictures of the site; apparently, no significant traces of this drive-in remain.
Many, many memories at this drive in, was very disappointed when it closed and even more so when it opened showing pornography, Jimmy Stewart would have been too.
First ad appeared in the Star on June 9th, 1948.
