The Dixie Theater was opened by 1914. By 1926 it had been renamed American Theater. It was closed as a silent movie theatre in 1930. As of 2009 the building remains standing and houses a photography studio. The only remaining resemblance to a movie theater is the facade of the building.

Changed its name to the American Theatre with 239 seats. It closed in 1930 failing to make the conversion to sound.
