Harkins Theatres opened this 24-screen cinema on November 20, 1997. The theatre features 3D projection, digital sound, 4,291 stadium seating, self-serve ticketing and other amenities. On December 18, 2009, another screen was added, plus an IMAX screen. By 2021 six screens had been closed.

I have gone to this movie theater a few times. Comfy seats, but too many unsupervised, unruly people there for my family. I will not be going back anytime soon. I couldn’t enjoy the movie for the rude customers, fights between teenagers after movies, and scores of unsupervised children running wild. They have passed some rules to help out with the fighting, unsupervised children, etc… hopefully, it will get better.
Despite the above mentioned problems, the facilities and technology, and seating are excellent.
December 18th, 2009 grand reopening of the IMAX as well as the November 20th, 1997 grand opening ad in the photo section for this cinema.
Please change the name to Arizona Mills 18 w/ IMAX.
Why did why closed down 6 screen to 18
Actual opening date is November 20, 1997.
It look like Harkins reduced it’s Mesa location from 24 t0 18 screens also.
Please rename theatre to Harkins Arizona Mills 18 with IMAX and address is 5000 South Arizona Mills CIrcle and total seats 2,110
