I assume you meant North Shore Dr. in Houston on the map link. Just put a space between North and shore and it will work.
Saw Christmas Vacation here in 89, as a Dollar Cinema
Grew up in North Shore and have so many memories of this theatre. It was a large one screen with a rising and opening curtain, designed by Irving Klein and Assoc. (Houston). The same year North Shore opened, 1966. the Parkview Theatre opened as well. The theatres were identical in design. (Even signage). I cannot find ANY photos of the old North Shore theatre, only the Parkview. If ANYONE has access to a photo, PLEASE post it. Even when it was divided into two screens and became a dollar theatre, I loved it. As you can see…it’s a KINKO’S now.
The North Shore Theatre opened on October 26th, 1967, as the “Newest theatre in the world” as their 13th location in Houston. Grand opening ad with picture posted.
